Duratec Alternator Kits
Raceline offers both an inlet and an exhaust side, solid-mounted, alternator mounting kit to suit the Duratec 2000cc, 2300cc and 2500cc engines. The exhaust side arrangement is based around a lightweight 40 amp alternator, suitable for Caterham/Westfield type applications. The inlet side kit positions a larger 80 amp alternator lower on the inlet side, just beneath the water pump, and is better suited to the demands of saloon car applications such as the classic Fords.Both alternator mounting options require the additional Raceline idler pulley kit (see separate page) which is mounted on the inlet side of the engine. The off-set idler pulley kit is designed to give adjustable belt tension.
